The mayor’s daughter gets to play sports?!

Yes it appears to be true! It is hitting social media tonight that the mayor’s daughter played in a tennis tournament in Lincoln today.

Is it within the DHMs? Yes.

Is it professional and ethical? Well, I’ll let you decide. 

Ask these questions while you do.

The mayor said the situation we are in is critical and severe. If she feels that way to the extent of restricting all Lincoln and Lancaster county youth to basically no activities, why would she chose to let her daughter participate in ANY open activity? Why don’t we have the same choice for our kids?

The mayor is a leader in our community, should she lead by example? 

The mayor was quoted as saying that “she and her family can relate to the frustration associated with no games, no practices”. Can they?

At the time of this update there has been no response from the mayor to either confirm or deny the rumor, but seems to be several sources on social media confirming it.
