The town of Irondequoit recently convened a private meeting with committee members to evaluate short-term rental regulations. The resulting decision does not align with the interests of those advocating for stricter oversight. The town intends to continue permitting short-term rentals, implementing only limited regulations concerning noise restrictions after 10 p.m. and off-street parking. There are no plans to regulate future applications or impose limitations on corporate-owned rental properties. Officials have expressed concern that enforcing more stringent policies could expose the town to potential litigation from rental owners.
