I hope you are doing well and staying safe. Blue Triton (new owners of Nestle water) have announced that they "will not be utilizing" the former contested permit that would allow it to pump up to 400 gallons per minute from White Pine Springs. Because ordinary citizens decided to take a stand and made their voices heard, a corporation was forced to listen and comply.

However, as always it seems, there is an asterisk: Blue Triton has gained approval for pumping at 288 gpm, which is well above the original 250 gpm rate. There is already evidence of environmental damage; if nothing is done, it will only continue to worsen.
