The 8th annual Lilac Festival has placed Jungle Cat World on the event roster, to include caged wild animals. We do not support the idea that animals should be used for our entertainment. We believe that Warkworth is more progressive than to include animal exploitation at one of our beloved events. We are reaching out to our wonderful community and supporters, many of whom are animal lovers, to help us influence this change in a positive way. 

The Lilac Festival brings together people from all over to "showcase many rare and beautiful varieties of lilac to surprise and delight. With early, mid and late blooming varieties that show their colours over a thirty to forty day period on view you are certain to catch lilacs in bloom along our Millennium Lilac Trail any day during the Festival." With such a lovely concept behind this festival which we have all grown to love and support, having a caged animal present is disjointed and disconnected from that. PLEASE add your name if you agree that Jungle Cat World should be removed from this year's Lilac Festival and be replaced with a more responsible and compassionate event such as an Animal Rescue Sanctuary or Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.
