This is a new Update with a Corrected Link.
The date has been set! Please come to the meeting at The Round Up Saloon 11/19 at 1 PM.
Statement from The Round Up Saloon:
"Officer Brittani Pilcik of DPD has requested a meeting with representatives of our businesses, including the Dallas Tavern Guild and all Merchants on Cedar Springs. Representatives of any charitable organizations, political groups, or other interested individuals are also welcome to attend. The meeting will be held on November 19 from 1 PM to 2 PM at The Round Up Saloon.
Cheif Catrina Shead will be in attendance, as well as Major J. Vaughn. This is an opportunity to have input, express frustrations, and make/hear suggestions for keeping our customers safe when leaving our businesses and stores.
There was an incident on Throckmorton and Cedar Springs last Saturday night at 2 AM involving 15-20 people from one of the bars fighting in the street. Police were called and the response time was over an hour. This frustration leads to strained relationships with Dallas Police and our community. There have been more attacks in recent weeks extending to outskirts of Oak Lawn.
Please plan to attend and show the community that we as merchants care about the crime issues, and that we plan to be a part of the solution."
