For many young Filipinos, Discord is where a shared interest becomes a community. It is where they ask questions, learn from people with more experience, find teammates, and work on ideas together. A student in one city can join a project with someone across the country. A young developer can get feedback on their work. A creator can find the people who help them take the next step.

At StellarPH, we believe young people need access to spaces where they can connect and build. Opportunities do not always exist nearby. Online communities help make them accessible, especially to those still finding their people, their skills, and their direction.

Blocking Discord takes away that access from Filipinos who use it to learn, collaborate, and create. We understand the government’s concerns about child safety, and we expect Discord to address them seriously. Young users need stronger protections, clear ways to report harm, and a platform that responds when problems arise.

We call on the Philippine government to lift the block on Discord and work directly with the platform on concrete child safety measures. We call on Discord to engage promptly, make clear commitments, and show progress.
