The Swiss government has taken a stand on some of the disregarded recommendations from Syria-based development organizations.

The publication of the Swiss government intents to make it easier for humanitarian actors active in Syria to establish the business relationships necessary for their work.

The publication addresses humanitarian actors who seek to provide money and economic resources to persons, entities or businesses for humanitarian purposes or in support of the civilian population.

The eligibility of such money and economic resources for the benefit of the Syrian population is expressively not limited to the context of the earthquake and to federal (Swiss) funding sources.

It Is not mentioned if these Swiss relaxations also apply to non-Swiss humanitarian actors.
