Lidl have decided to discontinue their fresh bakery item, the high protein roll. 

These rolls have been a game changer for those of us who choose to avoid foods high in carbohydrates, either through following low carb or ketogenic diets, or for medical reasons such as diabetes or reactive hypoglycemia. It sounds like a small thing, but being able to make a sandwich, toast or have a bread roll to dunk in some soup can be a huge deal after having to avoid it for so long.

Many of us have been loyal customers of Lidl because of the availability of these rolls. We know first hand that we can struggle to get hold of them sometimes, and staff have personally informed me that they bake extra because they sell so well, which makes this decision even more disappointing.

Lidl, please reconsider withdrawing this product from your stores and bring the protein rolls back in stock!
