Stop the plans to build a train through the Amazon.

The Issue

This request is extremely important, otherwise by not recollecting enough signatures, we would be consenting  the construcion of a railroad that would stretch along for more than 3293 miles, of some of the  few remaining untouched virgin areas of Brazil and Peru. In addition, the proposed route would cross uncontacted indigenous areas, areas where animal species are unique a sanctuary for the few remaining. From a selfish perspective, we should protect these areas given the clear relationship between the health of the Amazon and the health of the planet and hence our species.

Tropical forests, a treasure for mankind, contain from 90 to 140 billion metric tons of carbon that help stabilize the local and global climate.
Deforestation can release significant quantities of carbon, which could have catastrophic consequences worldwide.
The interest of building this railroad is nothing more and nothing less, than that, that contributes directly to the already excessive and illegal deforestation in the Amazon; Soybeans, oil and iron, top of the list of products that China currently  uses in the production of  products. The path will allow the "goods"  sent from the Pacific ports in Peru to Asia, without making use of the the Panama Canal. Although the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang expressed that, "China respects the biodiversity of Latin America (...) is the birthplace of the Amazon forest, a treasure for everyone.  In order to create Infrastructure we need to protect the ecological environment. "

In common opinion and logic it is obvious that to develop a 5300km railway line it is  necessary to end the forage found in the path of the train.
I am now 20 years old and ever since I can make use of sense, the overwhelming though of destruction against nature strikes now and then, we are eating away our planer, a beautiful one which rapidly degrades for the incompability of human and nature, a true paradox thus nature and man are one.

Who will defend the rights of the natives, the ones who have become one with nature?
