The cancellation of the Men’s World Juniors tournament on December 29th due to COVID-19 is unfortunate news ~ we can only imagine how disappointing this must be for the players, coaches, staff, volunteers and fans.
We hope to see the safe rescheduling of ALL the world tournaments that were scheduled by the IIHF so each team will have the opportunity to showcase their skill, hard work and dedication on the world stage.
As of today, the petition has generated support from over 83,000 people and 4,100 comments.
While the IIHF considers rescheduling the world tournaments, the petition and all of the signatures and comments will be forwarded to the IIHF so they have documented proof of the the outpouring of vested interest in women’s hockey and will highlight the importance of including the U18 Women’s World Championship in their priority plan for 2022.
