Stop Unsustainable Palm Oil From Coming To Canada

The Issue

Many of your favourite treats such as chocolate bars and Doritos have Palm Oil in these products. Palm Oil is located in South America, New Guinea, Ghana, Malaysia but the main problem is in Indonesia. They are burning down the rainforests to plant Palm Oil trees. This is affecting species such as: Tigers, Rhinos, Elephants, Orangutan and many more. Not only that but it is also polluting the air.

I learned that the Roundtable On Sustainable Palm Oil certifies palm oil that is made in a sustainable way. I want to collect at least 100 signatures and send them to our Minister of Trade and ask that Canada only brings in certified sustainable palm oil from now on.

Hope you will sign this petition to save these species and our planet!

Thanks,

Ethan McKibbon (Grade 6 student)
