I recently heard back from Representative Tanaz Golshan, who oversees matters in the The San Fernando Valley for Mayor Garretti. I reached out to Tanaz because the Bothwell Ranch is in the area she oversees and because we've spoken before about my passion for environmental regeneration and climate action.

This is what she said in response to the petition and plea to preserve Bothwell Ranch as a green space, "I was also waiting to hear back from my colleagues since this is not my area of expertise. I was told that the answer unfortunately is no in regards to whether the effort could be part of the 90,000 trees goal in the pLAn. The goal is to plan an additional 90,000 trees by 2021. However, I'm still waiting to hear back about the carbon sequestering and will hopefully let you know soon!"

I asked Ms. Golshan for advice on who I should bring this proposition to. I will update you all when I have more information.

Thank you for supporting and please share with residents of San Fernando Valley and the City of Los Angeles!
