Most of you know that I wear many hats (especially Tilleys).

And that I don't see why our National Anthem should be fixed in stone. After all, it wasn't even officially declared our national anthem until 1980.

It should be a national song that even the agnostic or atheist daughter of immigrants can sing with pride. The references to God and the cross, and the whole business of "home and native land" get in the way of that.

Please, if you haven't signed this petition, (now closing in on the requisite 500+ names) and if everyone in your home hasn't at least considered signing it, take a little time to make that happen. No one capable of understand the concepts involved is too young to sign...
