The later in the day we get, the greater the likelihood that Judge Amos Mazzant waits until tomorrow to issue a ruling on the NFL's motion for a stay of the preliminary injunction in Ezekiel Elliott's case.
If this drags into tomorrow, the league is expected to make a similar motion in the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
But if they do so before Mazzant issues a ruling, they risk appearing hypocritical, given their argument that the NFL Players Association jumped the gun by running to the District court before Harold Henderson's appeal decision was made.
Regardless, the slower this goes, the better it is for Elliott.
