Take it here: http://ow.ly/SB3j30g17dL In March, we had a huge victory – the European Parliament voted overwhelmingly in favour of farm to fork targets to halve EU food waste by 2030! But now we’ve received deeply concerning news that there’s a real chance the European Council could completely block any action to halve EU food waste at all. This would be disastrous. The clock is ticking as the negotiations are currently set to end within a month. EU member states are sending representatives to a very important meeting of the European Council this Wednesday, where they’ll discuss whether to continue blocking the EU food waste targets, or relax their position and get behind the plans. There may be one other meeting like this in December, but potentially this could be the very last meeting like this, and thus the last chance to save targets to halve EU food waste. We need to kick up a fuss!
