Friday is our day in court. After four long years of legal action, we will be in New York for the appellate oral argument in Hachette v. Internet Archive, the publishers’ lawsuit against our library.

Thank you for sharing your story & lending your voice to this effort! This open letter highlights the stakes: access to more than 500,000 books that have been removed from our lending library.

But we still need your help! Here are actions you can take to stand with the Internet Archive:

1. Watch the oral argument on Friday, June 28.
The proceedings will be livestreamed starting at 10am ET. Join via https://ww2.ca2.uscourts.gov/court.html, Courtroom 1505.

2. Share the open letter to the publishers: https://change.org/LetReadersRead
More than 25,000 people have already signed the open letter, asking publishers to restore access to the 500,000 books they've removed from our library. Share the open letter with your circle of friends and help us spread the word: Let Readers Read!

3. Stay connected.
Sign up for the Empowering Libraries newsletter for ongoing updates about the lawsuit and our library.
