Padua Academy stated that the policy was old and false. They said that the full administration had not reviewed the policy before releasing and that it was a “misunderstanding.” No matter of the circumstances, I am overjoyed to say that the policy has been amended and same sex guests can attend Spring Fling. We hope that they will extend this policy to cover Senior and Junior prom. Padua also stated that “no effort was made to contact the principle or any other member of administration.” We did have a thorough conversation with the dean of students. The dean of students stated that they had already been in contact with the administration and had been pushing for clarity on the communicated policy, but had received none. We cannot say thank you enough for all of the support and love we received and are very happy with this outcome. Thank you Padua Academy!
