I Came to Close this Down

Dearest all,
I was going to close this petition. Then people kept signing.
I had decided that it was time to bring the NHS Workforce Ombudsman petition to an end...but people are still signing!
So I am going to be honest. I have changed my mind. The petition will stay open.
It has already achieved more than its numbers might suggest. Patient X has continued to receive scrutiny. Concerns have reached the Attorney General. My work was mentioned in Private Eye. Long-standing issues raised with NHS digital have received much faster responses when challenged again. Questions have also been put directly to the ICO, NHS digital and a recognised trade union.
These are small wins. I am not going to pretend otherwise. However, they are still wins.
More importantly, they show what can happen when evidence is kept alive, questions are not allowed to quietly disappear, and organisations are asked to demonstrate what they have actually done.
This links to our new Corporate supporter: Ceilyte™.
Ceilyte™ works through Confidence Through Evidence™.
Ceilyte™ test whether organisations can actually evidence the actions, improvements and outcomes they claim. If they cannot, the organisation receives an assurance flag.
Ceilyte™ has every right to ask what evidence supports a public commitment where the documented experience appears inconsistent with it. On speaking to Ceilyte's founders, the inconsistencies are more widespread than the odd rare occurance, and that must change.
That makes them a very natural ally for this campaign. They can help take some of the questions we have been asking and subject them to a much more structured form of evidence-led scrutiny. We also form part of their research.
So, rather than closing this petition, I am keeping it here.
Keep signing. Keep sharing. Keep telling people why this matters and please visit confidencethroughevidence.com.
Take the Confidence Check™ and tell Ceilyte™ where you have confidence in public services, where you do not, and your reasons.
I believe in what they are building and they already have some amazing results. If you believe in what they are building, support them however you can. Share their work, participate, send people their way and help demonstrate that the public still expects institutions to prove that change has happened.
Apparently, we are not finished yet and I thank you all for continuing to prove that.
Mwah. xx
