Thank you to everyone who has signed and supported this petition — we now have over 200 signatures in less than 12 hours, and our voices are getting louder every minute.

But we’re not done yet.

🗣️ Here’s how you can keep helping:

  1. Keep sharing the petition with friends, classmates, family, and community members — every new signature matters.
  2. Email LBUSD leadership directly — respectfully ask them to support a traditional seated ceremony for McBride’s Class of 2025.

  3. Tag @LongBeachPost, @LongBeachLocalNews, and @LongBeachUSD to help spread the word on social media.

We’re continuing to call on:

  • Dr. Jill Baker, Superintendent
  • Dr. Tiffany Brown, Deputy Superintendent
  • Dr. Poffenberger & Mr. Moraga, Directors of Secondary Schools

to honor the tradition and restore a full, seated graduation ceremony — where students sit together, hear each other’s names, and walk the stage with pride.

We still believe change is possible. Let’s keep pushing.
