I am aware of the directive ordering county Supervisors of Elections to invalidate many of the Smart and Safe petitions.

In my official capacity as the Leon County Supervisor of Elections, I am also a named defendant in a court case seeking to prevent the invalidation of these petitions.

With that in mind, I am taking no further actions on the petitions in question, and I have been advised by legal counsel to make no further comments about this matter until the case is settled.
