Hi everyone,

I’m overwhelmed by your support. In less than 24 hours, our petition to stop the rollout of Austin’s new logo has already crossed 1,300 signatures.

I’ve received so many kind texts, emails, calls, and messages from Austinites who feel the same way I do, but I want to be clear: this isn’t about me.

It’s about our city as a whole and making sure Austinites have a voice before millions more taxpayer dollars are spent.

I also want to address some misinformation circulating online.

Back in May 2024, I voted to approve the negotiation and execution of a contract related to the city’s rebrand.

But that vote was not on this specific logo.

Those are two entirely separate things.

And even so, that doesn’t change the fact that this logo is awful and Austinites deserve a say.
