Currently in Ireland the catchment area outlined in a schools enrolment criteria does not have to meet up with the catchment area of the next neighbouring school. This leaves some areas not covered by any catchment area which can, has and will continue to leave children without a place in a school. This has happened to us this year. Due to start 1st year in Meath this year our Max  who has cerebral palsy has no place in any school despite living 3miles from the nearest secondary school and the catchment area ending 1 mile from our home.
