Proposed closure of Richmond House in Farsley

Proposed closure of Richmond House in Farsley
The Issue
Leeds City Council are proposing to close Richmond House , which is an elderly residential home in Farsley as part of its budget saving plans. We believe this is a short sighted measure and an inappropriate response to the circumstances that we find ourselves in during the pandemic, especially given the precarious state of the residential care sector generally. This establishment was originally built by Pudsey and over the many years allowed local residents respite when coming out of hospital before returning to their own homes.
Many of you in the community have had relatives who have benefited from this facility serving people in West Leeds. We must fight to keep this place open and encourage you and friends to sign this.
