Shortly after the pretrial hearing on April 18th,, the Ohio Animal Owners Vindication Fund petition was hand delivered to LHS. The person delivering it asked to see Lee Nesler but was told she was not available (after being asked their name and who they were with). The global petition with over 1,000 signatures in about 3 weeks from 49 states and 47 countries asking for the return of the cats seized from CK and an end to the legal action against CK is now officially delivered. Whether or not LHS, their Board or Lee Nesler will consider it is unknown at this time. The attached photo shows how Lake Humane Society of Mentor, Ohio stored the seized CK cats and placed them in a warehouse for at least 3 weeks after seizure. Ohio Law mandates animals should be kept in an area with fresh air and animals must have ability to have wholesome exercise. http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/959.13v1 This photo was taken by a CK photographer per our lawyer's request.
