On March 3, 2019, the National Weather Service issued a Winter storm warning for New York City and its surrounding areas, lasting from 1 p.m. to 7 a.m. on March 4. These conditions pose to be extremely dangerous for the students at Columbia. The extreme cold and ice puts every person to walk to class at a great risk. If this institution claims that the safety of its students are a top priority, then classes must be cancelled.
