We, the youth and citizens of South Sudan, have a vision for our nation's future—a future where everyone, regardless of language or location, can harness the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It is time for South Sudan to join the ranks of African nations like Kenya and Nigeria by launching TERRA, South Sudan's first National AI, developed by Nioncorp under the leadership of Ayak Marial.

On December 19, 2026, we envision a groundbreaking transformation in education, agriculture, health, and employment sectors across South Sudan. Our goal is to ensure every South Sudanese has equal access to AI tools in multiple languages—Dinka, Nuer, Arabic, and English—facilitating communication, learning, and growth across our diverse communities.

AI can revolutionize education by enabling personalized learning experiences, providing resources in native languages, and bridging educational gaps. It can transform agriculture by promoting precision farming techniques, leading to better yield and efficiency for our farmers. In the health sector, AI can enhance diagnostic capabilities and expand access to essential health services, even in the most remote areas. Finally, AI can open up new job opportunities, equipping our youth with the skills needed for the future job market.

The time is ripe for South Sudan to take a leading role in AI development and implementation in Africa. Launching TERRA will not only propel us into a new era of technological advancement but also foster unity and development across our nation.
