As an avid equestrian and active member of a Horse Riding Club in the Latrobe area I have heard it often mentioned that there is a distinct lack of Equestrian Facilities within the Latrobe Shire.

Equestrian is a sport that encompasses a huge range of disciplines. I believe that the number of horse riders and owners within the Shire is well and truly sufficient to warrant a purpose built facility for the use of all clubs & groups. 

A purpose built facility that can be host to large scale events as well as smaller events has the potential to be a HUGE financial advantage to the Shire, potentially bringing thousands of people into the area for different events throughout the year. Each & every person spends money within the Shire thus financially benefitting local business & sporting clubs. 

Isn't it time that we as an equestrian community had somewhere safe & secure to hold our competitions & training days? Somewhere with adequate infrastructure that will attract competitors to the area? If you believe as I do I ask you to sign this petition and pass it on. This petition has been started in order to gather numbers in order to present to the Latrobe Valley Shire the support behind this proposal.
