So Change gave me a goal for yesterday of 3425 signatures by end of day and we came just shy of that goal, but it doesn't matter. What does is that we are sharing this petition far and wide.

I want to thank everyone for signing onto this cause. I originally titled the petition as to the renaming of a local monument (complete with a statue atop the pedestal) but have since learned that the monument in question was recently renamed. Oh well, the Lee (renamed Egalite) monument wasn't the POINT. Remembering my friend with a lasting tribute was, so even if he can't have the pedestal, I still want him memorialized so this petition will NOT stop until my man is remembered with a statue somewhere in this city. Please help make this a reality by doing the easiest thing... sharing. Stay Awesome everyone!
