On the date of August 31st, two decades and one year in the past, a Florida State attorney perpetrated the abduction of Nelson Serrano from the streets of Quito, Ecuador. Since that fateful day, Nelson has remained incarcerated. I had a conversation with my father on that very day. The exchange lasted for a challenging span of 10 minutes. Within those minutes, we confronted the painful commemoration of this unfortunate event, acknowledged the passage of 21 years, and grappled with the seemingly unending nature of our struggle. Throughout the conversation, we endeavored to maintain our optimism despite the difficulty. We must persevere in our resolve, stay resolute in our commitment, and continue to hold onto the belief that justice will ultimately triumph. Desde aquel día fatídico, Nelson ha permanecido encarcelado. Tuve una conversación con mi padre en ese mismo día. El intercambio duró un difícil lapso de 10 minutos.
