We, the residents of Las Vegas have been duped by the Las Vegas City Council into Republic Services new contract which states they only pickup trash once a week from the usual twice a week schedule. They also have no limits on what they can charge the residents of Las Vegas, meaning they can implement a price increase any time Republic Services chooses.

We are now paying the same amount of money for half of the service they once provided us.

The city council gave this contract out without open bidding and refused Republic Services competitor Waste Management the opportunity to bid for the job.

We want the Las Vegas City Council to tear up the current contract and put in provisions such as twice a week pickup and caps on what Republic Services can charge us.
