I am thrilled to announce that following the hard work of multiple animal welfare organisations like Animal Aid, Born Free, Freedom for Animals, One Kind and all the signatories on this and my other petition, that Lapland UK have finally stopped using live animals in their events!

Lapland UK confirmed on 13.11.25:  "

"Thank you for your email and for sharing your concerns regarding the use of live reindeer in Christmas events. We appreciate the time and care taken by you and the coalition of organisations to highlight animal welfare considerations.

Please be assured that animal welfare is of the utmost importance to us. Lapland UK does not use live animals in any part of its experience, all of our reindeer are beautifully crafted models or animatronics, designed to create a magical and immersive environment for visiting families."

This is an amazing win for the reindeer and other live animals used previously by Lapland UK and it shows once again that people power can and does work!

After three years of pressure we have finally won! Thank you to everyone for supporting this petition and for being a voice for these animals.
