The city is moving forward with plans to demolish PS 31 DESPITE Landmarks refusing to remove its landmark status and voting on December 17, 2013 that it should remain a landmark and the city should do everything in its power to salvage it. So far, the city has failed to do so. The City testified saying that it couldn't withstand more storms and was a public hazard and YET after 2 brutal winters have passed SINCE the June 2013 hearings at Community Board 1, PS 31 is STILL standing and is in the same condition. Please spread the word and have more and more people sign this petition. If this were Brooklyn or Manhattan this would NOT be happening.
