I was reviewing the comments in responses to my petition that has generated over 14,300 signatures. One recurring question is regarding the legal steps I took in this matter. My lawyer had filed a Writ Petition in the Karnataka High Court, which summarized in the order (WP 44694 of 2017)

"It is made clear that if any enquiry is required to be initiated in the matter, the authorities concerned are directed to initiate the same within four weeks from today and the same shall be concluded within six months therefrom."

It has been over 4.5 years since that order, and officials of Bengaluru Deputy Commissioner’s office are yet to act on it. There has been no update on the enquiry into the matter or conclusion that was ordered “within six months therefrom."

My lawyer has also filed written arguments with the office of Bengaluru Deputy Commissioner in Feb 2020, and we are yet to get an update.

I continue this petition to hold #Karnataka Government officials accountable for #HighCourt order. I request the Chief Minister and Revenue Minister to direct officials to review and complete land registration at the earliest.

After all, justice delayed is justice denied.
