A heartfelt thanks to 14268+ supporters of my petition, I thought of giving an update on my petition drive.

In the past couple of weeks, I met with some officials at the Bengaluru DC office @dcbangalore and was told that the file is "ready for order." However, it seems that the Special DC-1 (Bengaluru North Division) just got transferred out. I hope it is not back-to-square one. 

I have forwarded a petition to request Karnataka CM Sri Bommai and Revenue Minister Sri R Ashoka to direct officials to pass a favorable order on this matter at the earliest.

I continue to be optimistic after reading a recent an article in Deccan Herald, Karnataka Chief Minister @BSBommai has set a 3-month deadline for automatic land conversion.

The article quotes Sri Bommai “In addition, there are thousands of revenue cases pending in tahsildar and assistant commissioner courts across the state. These are cases pending for close to two decades. At the pace it is being resolved, these cases will take another four years to be disposed of. We will appoint more tahsildars, assistant commissioners and support staff to dispose of the cases soon.”
