There is an interesting development in Karnataka that I am watching closely. As per media account, Revenue Minister @RAshokaBJP announced plans to deliver pahani and other land documents at the doorstep of around 45 lakh farmers in the State on on January 26. Speaking at a press conference after a meeting of district officials headed by Basavaraja Bommai, Ashoka said that farmers who have been cultivating Inam land for 50 to 60 years in various parts of the State have been finding it difficult to get loans. Many farmers are facing problems due to lack of knowledge without proper documentation. Therefore, they have a program to distribute documents for free.

This move strengthens the case of families like mine that have been waiting for years for title of land to be cleared. 

In our case, there is a clear precedent. I was able to get the RTC extract for Survey No 36 in Vaderahalli village and I see that two similar cases have been approved and registered in the past six months in the same survey number [Karnataka Land Records and RTC ].
