Good Evening,

As you are aware, I’m campaigning for a protected cycle lane on the old stretch of the Bay Gateway after my dad was struck by a HGV whilst cycling home from his place of work in Heysham.

Dad was left with life-changing injuries, leaving him unable to work and enjoy his hobby as a keen cycling enthusiast.

Although we aren’t able to change the past, we are able to change the present and future and that’s where we need your support.

Lancashire County Council are working on cycling and walking plans for the entire county which span the next 10 years.

They are asking locals to comment on the current infrastructure of cycling and walking routes in the area and where improvements could be made.
