Four Vauxhall parliamentary candidates – from the Conservatives, Greens, Labour and the Liberal Democrats – have joined together in unique show of unity to raise the fate of the remaining ‘shortlife’ housing co-op residents who are either vulnerable themselves or have vulnerable family members. The candidates have all signed a letter to the Chief Executive of Lambeth Council calling for an end to the evictions of elderly and vulnerable co-op residents from their homes of decades. The candidates' letter tells the Council - "We strongly believe that a way should be found to allow these residents to remain in their homes where exceptional circumstances apply.
