Thank you for signing our petition to stop the Beast of Belmore tower block.
In less than a week more than 100 people have signed up to support us, showing how strong the feeling is about this tower block being imposed on our communities.
The last time we successfully stopped a huge development on the same site (remember the Lambeth Lump!) we collected 250 signatures and we think that this time we can smash through that number! And we'll need to, because the last development was withdrawn before it went to the Lambeth Planning Committee. This development, however, is edging towards being approved, so it's even more critical to mobilise all the support we can.
There are 3 easy things you can do to spread the news about our petition and help us get more than 250 signatures:
- If you know or are part of a local group, please ask if they will spread the news. It might be the parents of children in a local school or nursery, a local choir or a local busness (http://chng.it/PRR8LMgW
- Please share our petition (http://chng.it/PRR8LMgW with two or three friends, neighbours or family members; they don't have to live locally to support us
- Please spread the news about this petition on social media by retweeting/liking/reposting our social media posts on Facebook and Twitter
