For the resident’s on Lakeshore Dr, there have been no community meetings held to discuss basic safety and traffic enforcement. We pay property taxes, under the system in place. We believe it is the responsibility of our local government to ensure basic safety on this road. We need traffic enforcement and traffic calming devices. This road is residential and not a connector for highway access. 

Semi-trucks are not allowed on residential roads, per State DOT regulations. It’s a risk to get your mail, let alone walk/run/bike. County commissioners promote the Blue Zone structuring for the community, but continue to ignore basic safety measures for the residents near Moore Park and on Lakeshore Dr. They claim the Blue Zone area will make us a better community, but there’s no basic traffic enforcement and safety?

Historical reckless driving, speeding and ongoing safety issues on Lakeshore Dr is only the tip of the iceberg. It's symbolic of a much larger problem, local corruption and nepotism. It has deep roots and pockets in this town. It's a good old boys club here and it's all about money, power and greed. As it has been said, it appears the commissioners want Klamath PD controlling the county so they have unlimited power and control. No Sheriff presence means no checks and balances. No Sheriff makes county residents easy prey for annexation. No Sheriff means rural reform for the entire county of Klamath. We need a new Sheriff and two new commissioners or we are all in trouble!
