Hope the email finds you well. Thanks to many parents and students to speak at the last LWSD board meeting to surface the need to move LWSD high school start time. After the comments, the superintendent acknowledged the need, confirmed by a school-sponsored study last fall. However, he added that nothing could be done before the fall other than adding a few questions to the family survey. Why wait for another year to find out what to do for the future years? At least the district can attempt to make small steps like moving the start time from 7:30 to 7:45 or adjusting the Wednesday schedule as a start. There are a few things you can do if you want this change.

1) Sign up for the next LWSD board meeting to comment in person or online using this link https://www.lwsd.org/board/public-comment-at-school-board-meetings

2) Speak to other parents or PTSA and encourage them to speak up at board meetings or call or email the district leadership team
