It is an uphill climb to try to get the City to think “out of the box” and to consider proceeding differently than they have in the past.  But, Barbara and I just had a great conversation with Lafayette Mayor J.D. Mangat who is an outstanding public servant.  He was kind enough to invite us to call him on a weekend.  We emphasized that unlike a development proposal for a parcel of land in Lafayette, the City has no obligation even to consider Lafayette Marketplace because it is not in Lafayette.  We will continue to press our arguments.  Meanwhile PLEASE continue to get more residents of Lafayette to sign the Petition.  Thanks so much.
