Thank you for signing, they have only had one public city council meeting where people and businesses were given a chance to voice their opinions. A lot of voices were for keeping the park how it is, and keeping the green space open for everyone to enjoy. Another article someone wrote https://www.laconiadailysun.com/news/local/deed-restrictions-could-block-idea-of-paving-sanborn-park/article_41250418-ca86-11e9-a2a0-bf035384459b.html states the land can't be used for parking because it was used to buy with a  Federal grant. I'm hoping this is true, we still have to keep supporting keeping the green space, use the space if you have time. I'm hoping to get some events going on there for children in the area. There is still a lot of push that needs to happen. I don't think this is over, the owner of the old opera house really wants to take this space for parking and has financial assurance to do so...so please keep pushing to save this green space for the future children in this area, for yourself and thank you again!
