The Lodge at Big Bear Lake a Holiday Inn Resort is excited to announce a truly groundbreaking event coming to the mountains of Big Bear Lake. From Friday through Sunday, September 18–20, 2026, animal advocates from around the world will gather for the first-ever Animal Networkers Convention—a three-day event created specifically for those who use the internet and social media to save animal lives.

This convention is not about traditional animal industry careers. It is about animal networkers: the people who share urgent posts, boost shelter animals, organize rescues online, educate the public through social platforms, and turn visibility into survival. These are the voices behind the screens who help animals find homes, funding, transport, and second chances.

The convention will focus on the current and future landscape of online animal advocacy, including emerging platforms, digital strategies, ethical storytelling, collaboration across networks, and how animal networkers can strengthen their reach and impact on a global scale. Attendees will learn how this rapidly growing movement is shaping the future of animal welfare—and how to advance it together.

Organizers plan for this to become an annual convention hosted in Big Bear Lake, setting the precedent for how animal networkers can organize, support one another, and elevate their work across the United States and around the world.

Those interested in presenting, teaching, sponsoring, or sharing innovative ideas are encouraged to participate. Guest speakers, educators, and event sponsors are actively being sought.
