As we all try to change things with the animal pounds, we must continue to remember the lives waiting for salvation. Souls dumped with a lifetime of stories and concerns. Herbert is a special doggy who isn't liking the animal pound experience AT ALL. He is scheduled to die on Thursday, July 28 (extended from July 27) if no one comes for him at the North Central Animal Pound near Downtown Los Angeles. If you need help saving his life, please text me at 213-948-3165.

Meanwhile, I've personally been reviewing my own networking efforts to extend animal pound hours and to save lives. This month, I'm introducing my own Networking Upgrade. I'm combining my efforts to save the dogs and cats in Big Bear City, California, San Bernardino County with my efforts to save dogs and cats in Los Angeles County /Los Angeles City.

That being said, I'm using my website www.BigBearCity.com as home-base for the animals I'm networking. I'm working with a computer programmer who is creating the ultimate networking experience for the animals. Hopefully, I'll save some extra dogs and cats from the additional web traffic this website garnishes too. So, I say all this to explain the LINK below highlighting HERBERT who is actually located in Lincoln Heights, CA at the North Central Animal Pound (near Downtown Los Angeles).

Here are the details on Herbert...
Herbert - looks miserable  . He is VERY PHYSICALLY uncomfortable. And he’s URGENT! #a2038213
***Herbert has until end of day Wednesday 07/27/22 @ 4pm*** This poor dog needs help quick. Please contact Jackie at (213) 435-2238 if you can help.
He’s not friendly, but I believe it’s because he’s got health issues. Unfortunately on 6/28 the groomer was bit when she was attempting to leash him up and take him for a bubble bath.
Herbert is a very grumpy old man, all he asks is that you give him a fluffy bed, yummy food, and space! Let's get this guy SEEN and SAVED!

-Intact male
-27 pounds (thicc)

Behavior notes:
Bit the Dog Groomer. She went inside the kennel and made noise to make him aware that she was in there. When she touched him on the back, the dog snapped and bit her hand/did not let go.

Sitting calmly in the kennel. Cracked door to leash from outside the kennel. He was a bit apprehensive about being leashed, moving/dodging as the leash came near him. Placed the leash down for him to smell which he did. Able to place over him after that. Walked out fine. Acknowledged dogs would stop at kennels, but no barking or lunging just seemed curious. Took him to the back yard and dropped his leash. He did his business and explored on his own. Not really connected to or concerned with my presence. When he came near, I knelt down next to him. He approached and smelled me. Briefly scratched his back end, he stiffened up. Let him be after that. Attached a release leash to slip lead, he made no moves as I was doing that. Returned him to the kennel with no issues.
