I just spoke to Kelly Cross. She is the District Four Deputy of Animal Care And Control.  She explained that LA County has zero intention of ever going back to the system before Covid-19. They are doubling down and completely eliminating Open Access to Animal Pounds. We need to get NEW LA County Supervisors in these positions if they plan on keeping the pounds closed to the general public. We can not believe their lie that the pounds are open. Tens of thousands of animals will die on this learning curve. I asked Kelly what percent of her day is spent saving or rehoming dogs or cats. Her response, "Zero. It's not in my job description." I was not referring to her job. It was a human character question. 

Folks, we need to get celebrities and businesses involved. We MUST FULLY reopen our animal pound NOW! Please call the board of Supervisors and City Council members listed on the original petition. Let them know they've lost your vote.
