My name is Kurtis Chatterson and I am a 17 year old resident of Sparwood BC.  Recently, it has come to my attention that students my age who fail their first driver's test cannot book a re-test for several months.  This is simply not fair in comparison to our metro area counterparts.  We rely on receiving our driver's licenses in a timely manner because we live in rural areas and need to drive in order to go to school, to recreation sites and most importantly to work.  At this age, with working parents, it is time for us to gain our independence and be mobile to take part in new opportunities. My goal with this petition if to raise awareness of our lack of ICBC examiners in the area and hopefully find that ICBC is able to attract and hire new employees to serve the public in our valley.
