RIGHT NOW: Olympic medalist and activist Dotsie Bausch is LIVE on Facebook (noon ET) with Compassion Over Killing’s Director of Marketing Eric Lindstrom in support of our campaign for a vegan BOCA brand! Join in on the COK Facebook page and ask Dotsie your questions today!
Last week, Dotsie, along with a team of eight other elite vegan athletes, rallied together for a dairy-free BOCA brand through a powerful letter fired off to parent company Kraft Heinz on behalf of the Switch4Good coalition and COK.
Today, Dotsie joins COK in an exclusive live video chat about Switch4Good, which she launched with a hard-hitting commercial directed by Louie Psihoyos (The Cove) during the 2018 Olympics to bust the myths about dairy as a health food, and why her coalition has teamed with COK to get cruel, unsustainable dairy products out of the BOCA brand for good.
BOCA was once a household name in the veggie burger market--but as it clings to dairy in many of its products, it’s stuck playing ketchup with all-vegan competitors like Gardein and Beyond Meat that are paving the way for the vegan revolution.
In their letter, the sports pros urge Kraft Heinz to “offer a healthier, more sustainable, and kinder BOCA brand by ditching dairy.” The athletes also note that since cutting dairy from their diets and choosing vegan foods, they’ve “reaped enormous benefits: greater speed, faster recovery time, more endurance, and higher energy levels.”
