Get the New Yu-Gi-Oh! Movie to Play in Sacramento & Other Major Cities
The Issue
The new Yu-Gi-Oh! movie coming to theaters January 20 has not been listed as an upcoming movie for any theater in Sacramento. My family and friends find this to be a little disappointing because we grew up watching Yu-Gi-Oh! and all it's sequels (GX, 5ds, Zexal, Arc-V) on our favorite TV channels and saturday morning cartoon blocks such as Kids WB, Cartoon Network, Toonami, Miguzi, 4KidsTV, The CW4KIDS, Toonzai, Nicktoons, and Vortexx. We want this brand new movie to be our revisit to our childhoods and for this movie to be a gateway for new generations of Yu-Gi-Oh! fans. I have known many fans of this iconic animated series who have kept off the streets and out of trouble by playing the YGO (aka Duel Monsters) trading card game. For example the Competitive Card Shack in Sacramento host regular tournaments for this game and they see a lot of healthy, enriching competition. As well as the YGO clubs in Mendota, California.
Now we move on to how YGO has left an impact outside of California. Here is an article about how the YGO game makes these college students feel like they have a second home: Said Article. And here is an article about how Yu-Gi-Oh! and it's gamers are bringing the fun to hospitals and to kids who don't have the chance to play these games: YGO charity fundraiser on the News
In conclusion, my family and I are here to fight the good fight and bring the Yu-Gi-Oh! experience to a theater near you. I know by making this petition, I will be able to add Sacramento gamers, Yu-Gi-Oh fans, adults, and youth alike to the list of people fighting for this movie. In fact, I'm sure a lot of you are already fighting for it, but I want to bring us all together with this petition. Change.org will contact the people in charge of bringing this movie to Sacramento and other major cities if you sign this petition. Some of those people include Nicktoons, 4k Media, Screenvison, and your local theater. Anyways, that's my petition folks, see you at the theaters!
