Richard "Bud" Armstrong has already cost tax payers in Knox county thousands of dollars with his bizarre lawsuit brought against the Knox County pension board and a handful of retirees, in one case the widow of a deceased officer. In effect Knox County is suing itself. Despite the Mayor and Commission taking action to settle this idiotic lawsuit, Mr. Armstrong has "doubled down" and filed court paperwork to invalidate the Commission's vote claiming it is illegal! Bud Armstrong wants no checks and balance in place where his office is concerned. He is term limited and serving his final term, so apparently he feels no culpability to the voters at this point. If left in place to serve out the remainder of his term there is no limit to the amount of irreparable damage he could do and money he will cost Knox County.
