Thank you!  Yesterday I sent the letter to Council - first step, as the Ombudsman asks us to give Council a chance to correct.  In a few weeks, we can apply direct to the Ombudsman.

Please fill in the Knox dog and cat survey before it closes on the 1st of August, multiple times, varying your location, so that we have witnesses to Council’s data collection process at https://haveyoursay.knox.vic.gov.au/dogs-and-cats

Council made this law, repeatedly saying it is for our ‘protection’ and that we need ‘education’.  Presumably they will print these claims to send out, yet will not print and send out a consultation survey to all homes.  They suggest a ‘random phone survey’ of a section of our community - which again can hide and manipulate figures.  Apparently our registration payments do not even give us rights of full consultation or fair-dealing.

Cages imprison both cat and owner.  As this looks to be a long-haul, and government process is slow, we need more media, actions, a social page (I am no good at social media) so that we can all equally share, and stand up for our cats and human rights - if someone can make a web-page. Please share our concerns.

The real ‘killers’ of comm-unity are those who refuse full consultation and our communication.  Our stories are important - maybe a Cat-a-Wall too, of photos and our cat stories to counter Council’s misinformation and tyranny.  For All Cats!
